What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other.  I’ll ask about your goals, challenges, and history, and you’ll have the chance to ask any questions you have about therapy or my approach. This initial session can feel a bit more structured or clinical as we gather important information. Future sessions tend to feel more conversational, collaborative, and fluid as we build a working relationship.

How long is each session?

Sessions typically last 50-55 minutes. Extended or shortened sessions can be arranged if needed. 

How often will we meet?

Most clients start with weekly sessions then reduce to bi-weekly or monthly depending on progress. We'll discuss what makes the most sense for your goals and schedule.

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes, I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant teletherapy sessions for clients in Washington State.

How much does therapy cost?

Session fees are $120 for individual and $140 for couples/families. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots. Please inquire if cost is a concern.

Do you take insurance?

I do accept insurance. If you do not see your insurance listed                       ,I can provide a superbill for you to submit for out-of-network reimbursement.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Everything shared in session is confidential, with a few legal exceptions such as risk of harm to self or others or court orders.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy is a space for self-reflection, growth, and healing. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply seeking support, it's a good place to start. You can also book a consultation to explore if it's a fit.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. As a smaller practice, it's more challenging to fill spots with short notice, so 48 hours allows me to better manage time and offer availability to others.
If you're able to reschedule within the same week, the cancellation fee can be waived. I understand that life happens, and I aim to be as flexible and fair as possible.
